• Current Design notes:
  • Screw-in end caps
  • #Not very stable on a cart, wider design would be better
  • Ryan doesn't like down thrusters or top-mounted thruster
    • These thrusters aren't submerged often enough
    • Try flipping down thrusters over to submerge better
  • Wires should be soldered instead of hot glued
  • Used webcams versus CMOS because they took less time and coding to get working
  • !Email Ryan when sub moved to other room
• New design:
  • #Goal: Get internal access in <1 minute
  • Aluminum base with plexiglass top
  • Ryan, Alex, Santi, Greg really liked this top-opening design
  • Start designing next week
  • #Hydrodynamics don't matter at such slow speeds, just put a box in the water
  • 1/2 as high, same length as current design

    • Does it make sense to go through the trouble to make modular?

    • If they break, redesign them, don't patch them like they did

  • Put videos on - less boring
  • Don't be boring -> less criticism
  • Balance talking among members
  • Make videos of presentation when practicing to help stop bad speaking habits

  • Make test course before you need it so it doesn't hold up project
  • Test what you designed for
    • When designing for component, test with component
    • When designing for system, test with system
  • Don't patch problems, redesign to fix them
